It comes with a sponge shield to prevent direct UV-C radiation from harming fishes. It can also function as a micro air-lift sponge filter with an external air pump. This product is suitable for small aquarium tanks ( <150L water ) and also for terrarium. Its micro size is also possible to be inserted into the filter compartments of suitable size hang-on filters and overhead filters.

UV-C RADIATION WARNING
- Always switch off the UV-C lamp before handling
- UV-C radiations are harmful when exposed to body cells
- Never look directly at the UV light with the naked eyes which can cause permanent blindness
- Avoid direct exposure of UV-C rays to humans and fishes
- The sponge prevents direct exposure to UV rays while sterilizing the water that passes into the sponge to the UV tube
- Always ensure the UV lamp tube is fully submerged in water during operation
- The sponge is designed to deteriorate over a period of time
- Replace the sponge when it reaches the end of life.
